Hey everyone! Didn't know this site existed til today, so thought I'd join. I really just wanted to meet interesting people (at least virtually, for now...thanks, Covid) and have some laughs.

For me, I've only just come back to the States after living abroad for 12 years, and am not sure what I'm doing here tbh. But in the meantime, kinda want a reason to stay...

I...dunno how to talk about things in a way that doesn't make me sound like a creep or a "chaser" or any of that nonsense, so I hope you'll just give me a chance and we can talk first. When it comes to sexual identity, I'm "straight" in the sense that I'm a cis-man interested in women, but also someone who has had some of his best friendships and relationships with trans people. I also just wanted to come on and see if there's anyone I could connect with. Like I said, I'm sure there's nothing I could say to completely dissuade people from thinking a certain way, but I hope I can just get to know you and maybe develop something more serious.

Less seriously, I'm a former teacher (not sure what the next step is but really considering bank robbery). I love poetry and film and I can't stand conservative politics. Whew...I think this is too much already. Hope to chat soon!
