There is a difference between being Compassionate and Empathic, Empathy is simply understanding someones pain and how you would feel if you experienced said pain, This makes it inherently selfish in nature as while. Compassion is acting on it and doing something to alleviate that pain and not simply wallowing in pity.

Hello im Chris and i just gradulate from UF with a degree in Psychology and iam currently working on a program in Public health at UF while interviewing for PA schools. Anyways some random facts about myself because i suck at these things
