First timer seeking to expand horizons

Am an average non descript guy whom is approaching retirement age. Don't have usual hobbies and interests that most people claim. Do like to visit small towns within a day's drive especially if they have 18th century homes to visit. Am into music big time, esp' pre British invasion era rock'n'roll and soul. Am a DC native and do best with someone from below the Mason-Dixon line or from a small town.
