I'm a 26 year old single, college educated, liberal, passionate, intelligent, and considerate guy living alone in the city, looking to get to know a cute, fun, and energetic girl who lives somewhere in the DC area or not too far away. Hopefully this will turn out to be an ongoing friendship...and if we connect, I'd be excited to date seriously too.
As far as a few more basics about me, I went to college in California (Stanford '04) and the laidback and creative culture of the West coast has infected me to the soul. I'm into indie films and movies in general, alt/indie rock and hip-hop, and keep my TV dial tuned into Comedy Central and Food TV (I love to cook!) most of the time. I love city life, although am not really thrilled with what DC has to offer as compared to NYC, SF, Chicago, and other cities this size. But I live downtown an do my best to find the jewels that DC does present. I'm 420-friendly, and open to meeting smokers or non-smokers although I don't smoke cigs myself. I'm a regular/social drinker, and would prefer to find someone who'd be willing to share a drink at some point...although that's not set in stone. Physically, I'm 6' 225#, have short brown hair, brown eyes (with nice lashes and brows, I'm told), and a groomed and close-trimmed beard at the moment.

The venue and itinerary don't matter too much to me...although something outside on a pretty evening is always nice. For me, a great first date features conversations that quickly bounce between many topics, thanks to common interests but lots of diverse experiences. And chemistry and laughing together are icing on the first date cake.

In general I'm looking for someone smart, openminded, funny, creative, caring, eclectic and/or somewhere left-of-center. And it'd be cool if you're younger than 35 (or maybe 40 if you just have friendship in mind). Other than that, I don't have too many specifics as far as who I'd like to meet.
